Understanding charging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are two different types of electric current that can be used to power your Bobcat machine \u2014 alternating current (AC), typically electricity from a power outlet, or direct current (DC), which can be stored in batteries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AC always needs to be converted to DC so that batteries can store it. The main difference between AC and DC charging is where the conversion from alternating current to direct current takes place. When using AC charging by plugging into your vehicle from a power outlet, the conversion to direct current occurs inside the vehicle via a built-in charger, which is often slow. When using the external Bobcat Supercharger, the conversion takes place outside the vehicle in a larger converter, making charging much quicker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All-day battery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bobcat electric machines can operate for a full working day when you follow the right strategy of charging during work breaks. Using an external Supercharger, the batteries can be fully recharged in 1-2 hours (depending on machine). The batteries can also be recharged overnight by using the on-board charger from a standard 230 V (AC) power outlet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
